New and expectant moms, please join us for a Muddy Meetup at the Gibbes Museum of Art!
What is a Muddy Meetup?! We know that motherhood can be messy and this is an opportunity for moms to work with clay while engaging with other moms in their community. Each Muddy Meetup is led by a local artist collaborating with a perinatal healthcare or mental healthcare professional who will lead the group to help create an environment for healing and connection while engaging in a creative, hands-on project. Coffee, tea and a light lunch will be provided. Muddy Meetups are always free. Please register to attend and wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little muddy! Before or after the session, please feel free to explore the museum.
Katie Hinson, MPS, LCAT, ATR-BC · MUSC Health Arts in Healing Founder and Manager along with ceramic artist, Maria White will be leading this Muddy Meetup.
*For the safety of our moms and facilitators, we kindly ask that masks are worn and social distancing practiced. Please let us know if you are in need of transportation. We are offering a maximum of 8 participants per Muddy Meetup. Babies are welcome and this event is free.
Please register with the Gibbes Museum of Art here .
*The next Meetups will be on March 24th and March 31st.
